Beaches Turks & Caicos…for Adults

Turks & Caicos

I’m not a sun worshipper. Too much exposure gives me a headache, and I burn without SPF 50 waterproof sunscreen. But I love Beaches Turks & Caicos as a vacation destination. Even when traveling without children!
The Turks and Caicos islands are a British territory located in the Atlantic Ocean, about 650 miles southeast of Miami, Florida. Tourism is the primary industry, and the islands offer wonderful beaches as well as opportunities for fishing, sailing, scuba diving, and snorkeling.
Several airlines offer service from the US to Providenciales, the only airport in Turks & Caicos that supports international flights. Drive time from the Provo airport to Beaches Turks & Caicos is only 15 – 20 minutes, and Beaches provides transportation. That means you can enjoy some beach or pool time before dinner on the first day of vacation!
Beaches Resorts are renowned for great family vacation experiences, and their accolades are well-deserved. Fortunately, having kids along isn’t a requirement to vacation at Beaches! Here are a few of my favorite activities for adults at Beaches Turks & Caicos.
Walking on the Beach. Beaches Turks & Caicos is situated on Grace Bay.  The beach and ocean are drop dead gorgeous! Powdery white sand that leads to swimmable blue-green waters. Grace Bay beach goes for miles, 13 to be exact, so it’s perfect for morning and evening walks.
Scuba Diving and Snorkeling. Turks & Caicos routinely makes the lists for top dive destinations in the Caribbean. At Beaches, certified divers dive for free. The inexperienced can pay a reasonable fee to be resort certified and then dive for the duration of the vacation. Those, like me, who are intimidated by the thought of diving may enjoy complimentary daily snorkeling excursions.
Dining. Beaches Turks & Caicos is home to twenty-one (24) restaurants and quick dining options. Fine dining one evening? Try Sapodilla’s or Le Petit Chateau. Casual dining on the beach? How about Barefoot by the Sea where bare feet are permitted? Just want to grab a snack? Dino’s Pizzeria or one of the popular food trucks on resort will be perfect! Beaches Turks & Caicos even offers a weekly late night Chocolate Extravaganza.
Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. This blend is served throughout the resort’s restaurants and is provided as the in-room coffee option for all room categories.
Spa. Need I say more?
Key West Village. This quiet village reflects the laidback vibe of the Florida Keys but is excellently situated for easy access to beach, restaurants, and Pirates Island Waterpark…..after all, who doesn’t enjoy floating around a lazy river? Cozy guest rooms to 4 bedroom villas are perfect for any size group, and all rooms in Key West Village are Concierge or Butler!
If Turks & Caicos is on your bucket list, I highly recommend Beaches Turks & Caicos for a fabulous resort experience….with or without kids!
